Dr. Michael Vitale Visiting Professor at UF Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine (OSMI)

On April 20th, Dr. Michael Vitale was a Visiting Professor at UF Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Institute (OSMI) in Gainesville, FL.  He presented a talk to faculty and residents entitled “Making Spine Better: The Case of Pediatric Spine Surgery”.  The learning objectives focused on review of natural history and treatment options for children with early onset scoliosis.  The talk also identified relevant and practical techniques in patient safety.  Lastly it assessed ways to maximize outcomes in pediatric spine care.  Read more here.

He notes that he had a great time as their visiting professor with his friend and Spine Surgeon Colleague Dr Laurel Blakemore.  He also said that “They are a great group of residents and provide high quality care.”
